Your brand, your rules.
When you have your own brand, whether you’re a solopreneur, entrepreneur or small business founder, you have the world at your fingertips.
What you can create within that brand is truly mind-blowing- and not even from what the brand actually does. I mean from how it delivers it.
For example, my favourite area of a brand where you can go WILD is brand touchpoints, especially client-facing ones. And what do I mean by those?
It’s the little things that make a difference, and your brand uniquely yours.
Want to send your customers birthday cards? Why not.
Invite your clients to a summer party? I’ll get the invites.
How about a gift, card or message celebrating a milestone? 100%.
I’ve give you another example. For Christmas last year, instead of gifting physical presents to my clients, I took all my clients out to lunch in February at a local restaurant. Anyone I’d worked with during 2023, I invited to lunch on me, all expenses paid.
Was it logical? No, not really. But it was magical. Clients from different projects all came together through a common theme (me) and we spent many happy hours talking, chatting and just having 5 minutes out in each other company.
We were enjoying the lunch so much that I totally forgot to take any pictures to mark the moment (so instead, I’ve included a picture- below- of a card I received after the event)
Quirks like these are possible in all brands, but why do they matter?
They strengthen the brand. One of my Brand Gems, USP, is exclusivity and really getting to understand my clients brands and businesses. What better way to put that into action, and demonstrate it by extending it beyond the realms of business and into a personal one?
Remember, your brand, your rules.
So, the question I’m going to leave you with to ponder on is what will you create?
What touchpoints or brand quirks are uniquely yours?
